What the app does
Sends Amazon Ops Weekly notifications for successful runs, failed runs, and conditions requiring manual handling.
Operational email notifications
Amazon Ops Gmail Alerts is a private operations utility that sends email notifications about Amazon Ops Weekly automation results. It requests one Google permission—Gmail API gmail.send—and uses it only to send those alerts.
Permission boundary
The requested scope is deliberately narrow. It allows the application to send operational alert emails from the Google account that an authorized operator connects.

It does not use this permission to read the inbox, retrieve existing messages, modify messages or labels, or delete any existing email.

How notifications move
The automation records a success, retryable failure, or manual-action condition.
An eligible notification is queued locally. Duplicate notices for the same unchanged condition are suppressed.
When authorized and enabled, the application uses gmail.send to deliver the operational alert.
A delivery failure remains in the outbox for retry and does not change the Weekly run result.
Data discipline
The notification service follows the existing Amazon Ops production logging and retention rules. The saved Gmail Alerts OAuth Client configuration remains outside this public website. If a sending token is generated after future user authorization, it will also remain outside the website and will be kept separate from the existing Gmail read-only credential.
