1. Acceptance of these terms
By authorizing or using Amazon Ops Gmail Alerts, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not authorize or use the application.
2. Application purpose and scope
Amazon Ops Gmail Alerts is a private operations utility. Its purpose is limited to sending email notifications about Amazon Ops Weekly automation outcomes: successful runs, failed runs, and conditions requiring manual handling.
The application requests only the Gmail API gmail.send scope. This permission is not used to read an inbox, retrieve existing messages, modify messages or labels, or delete existing email.
4. Acceptable use
The application may be used only for the operational notification purpose described on this website. It must not be used to:
- send spam, bulk marketing, deceptive messages, or unlawful content;
- impersonate another person or organization;
- attempt to expand, bypass, or misuse the granted Google permission;
- expose OAuth tokens, client secrets, or other credentials in public files; or
- interfere with Google services, the Amazon Ops workflow, or applicable access controls.
5. Delivery and availability
Notification delivery depends on valid authorization, the host computer being available, network access, and the availability of Google services. Messages can be delayed or fail to send.
A delivery failure is kept in the local notification outbox for retry or manual resolution and does not change the underlying Amazon Ops Weekly result. The application is an alerting aid and is not a substitute for reviewing production records or maintaining other appropriate monitoring procedures.
6. Privacy and data handling
Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy. In summary, the OAuth Client configuration is stored locally; any future sending token created after user authorization will be stored separately from the Gmail read-only credential. Sensitive values and Gmail message bodies are excluded from production logs, and operational records follow defined retention rules.
7. Disclaimers and limitation
The application is provided for internal operational use on an “as is” and “as available” basis. No guarantee is made that every notification will be delivered without delay or interruption.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the application operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by network outages, revoked or expired authorization, Google service interruption, host-computer unavailability, or reliance on an alert without checking the underlying operational record.
8. Revocation and discontinuation
An operator may stop use by disabling the notification channel and revoking the application's Google Account access. Access may also be disabled if these terms are violated, credentials are at risk, or continued operation could create a security or compliance issue.
9. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated to reflect material changes to the application or applicable requirements. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Questions may be directed to the support contact displayed in the application's Google OAuth consent screen.
